Hamilton

Hamilton Watches have a long standing tradition of being the official watch used by the military and by Hollywood as well. For World War II, the U.S. Government asked Hamilton to stop making watches for the public so they could focus on making watches exclusive for the military. During this time, close to one million watches were produced. Hamilton watches have been featured in Blue Hawaii, Men in Black, and Lethal Weapon. Hamilton also designed timepieces specifically for the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Aside from all this, Hamilton's accuracy has been utilized by the early railroad system, and the pioneers in commercial aviaton. Hamilton can claim production of the first electric watch and the first digital watch, in 1957 and 1972, respectively.
